Diving on the island

There are many small, secluded beaches on the island as well as the main beaches at Aphort & Leabgarrow. The crystal clear waters, shipwrecks, drift dives and varied marine life provide excellent snorkeling and SCUBA diving (see Dive Ireland description on diving around Arranmore). The Irish Sea Kayaking Association also provide information on Arranmore & its surrounding islands. Easy access by sea as well as dedicated visitor moorings for yachts and cruisers make Arranmore an essential stopover on any visit to the Rosses area.
