An Cosán Glas

Sea Monsters were spotted on Leabgarrow Strand on Tuesday after a visit by An Cosán Glas (The Green Path). It consists of an environmental trail of sculptures made by children and takes place every year as part of Féile Ealaíne an Earagail (Earagail Arts Festival). Island children were involved in making the sculptures with the Falcarragh based artists Alan, Anjo Carr, Michael McFadden, Deirdre Brennan, Seamus Kennedy and Florence Calais from the island. Each sculpture (see below) was made from natural materials and found objects. It is hoped that the group will return next year as the children had a great time.
