Daniel
of the Sun
 Throughout
the years I have traveled through Scotland, Wales and Ireland. From
Arranmore to Edinburgh and from Llandeillo to Falcarragh. I have lived
in different places for several years to learn the ins and outs of different
cultures. Being Dutch myself, I think you have to live there to understand
the craic. This is the only way to learn to play traditional music. “Daniel
of the Sun” is a selection of songs and tunes that I have learned from
25 years ago up to now. The guests on this album are musicians that
I used to play with years ago and other musicians that I met recently. And
as far as I’m concerned: they did a great job!
After all these years having recorded with other
bands the time had come to make my own album. Daniel of the Sun
is the result of 25 years traveling. I
hope you enjoy it.
