Taisce Árainn are delighted to announce a range of luxurious hand-knitted garments from Árainn Mhór which are available exclusively through the island website under the “Islander” brand. Island women, using expertise passed on down the generations, skilfully hand-knit the garments using 100% new wool sourced in Donegal. These garments are carefully packaged then shipped directly to the customers where they will provide years of warmth and enjoyment. As well as providing much needed part-time employment on the island, each unique garment ensures that these skills survive to be enjoyed by future generations. We plan to make a range of handmade clothes available starting with traditional favourites, so watch this space.
