Mc Ghee Family, Arranmore Island, Co Donegal

John McGhee RIPFollowing the sudden death of John McGhee on the 16th October 2004 a group of people have decided to come together to raise some funds for the family.  John is survived by his wife Lorraine and two young children Kevin and Gary, to lose the bread winner from any family is always going to put some financial strain on the surviving parent.  We have organised a fund-raising dance in Early’s Bar on the 29th December in the hope of raising money to support the bereft family.  Unfortunately, many people have to travel long distances and may not be able to attend, so, in conjunction with the benefit dance we are giving people the opportunity to contribute directly to the family via a special bank account set up in John McGhee's name.

We have opened two bank accounts in the name of “The John Mc Ghee Fund”.  For sterling donations the account number is: 49026852 and the sort code is 01-07-20.  For Euro/ Dollar donations the account number is 43079309 sort code 95-16-16, swift code NIB KIE 2D, National Irish Bank, Dungloe.  We hope that by taking this approach we offer complete families the opportunity to contribute.  We know that the Arranmore people both at home and abroad have always been generous in the past when the occasion demanded and we are confident that once again we can rely on you.  Please pass these details to all members of your family and friends and give them the opportunity to contribute.  All donations will be made in the strictest confidence and no details will be disclosed to any third party.  This account will be governed by the Data Protection Registration of Heaton Financial Brokers which is a company regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Reg No 302321.  All funds will be transferred to Loraine’s account by the 28th January 2005.  Thank you.

Signatories to the Sterling account:     Mr John Mc Hugh (Pally),
Mr Breffni O’Brien Signatories to the Euro/Dollar account:  Mr John Sailor Boyle,  Mr Martin Gallagher (Bomber).
