The Lifeboat

The new state-of-the-art IR£2M Severn class "RNLB Myrtle Maud" arrived in January 2000 following a 4 day passage from Poole, England. Crew members travelled to Poole for a week of intensive training on the new boat before returning with the boat to Arranmore. A naming ceremony was held on 13th May 2000 at the boathouse on Arranmore.
