Project Description

The Wild Atlantic Way does not get much wilder than the dramatic Malin Head located at the very top of the Inishowen Peninsula and Ireland’s most northerly point. Deep and rugged crevices have been carved into the rugged headline by the Atlantic Ocean, such as Hell’s Hole a deep and winding chasm where the waves swell and roar.

Malin Head is a haven for wildlife with unusual birds visiting from all over the world. Basking sharks swim along the coastline, the perfect place to go diving where you can also view some very historic wrecks as well as marine life. The area is rich in heritage and culture, where mythical Queen Banba is said to have given her name to the tip of the peninsula, Banba’s Crown.

Malin Head is an adventure playground for those who love to get out and get active with lots of opportunities to enjoy cycling, watersports, angling, golf and much much more. At the very top of Ireland, Malin Head should be your number 1 Signature Discovery Point along the Wild Atlantic Way!
